Today marks my last day at normal shift.. Actually its a OT today.. Tomorrow will be my rest day and tuesday, wednesday, thursday will be my working days.. Yeah, back to shift..

I still feel shift suits me better as compared to normal office hours working style, I get to have more rest days and better rest.. No more early morning getting up for work..

OMG! Another disappointing match by Manchester United.. I mean whats wrong with them, losing 4-1 to Liverpool is such a bad omen, how can they afford to lose to Fulham last night.. And worst of all, losing is as bad, but they even put 2 red cards to their collections.. That is 2 straight losts after so many of wins..

Back on a happier note, I'm going back to shift soon.. Yeah! This time round, I'm going to C-team, back to the team where I started with.. But I still got 2 more weeks in normal shift.. Then will be back to the night owl lifestyle..

Raining non-stop

It has been raining for many afternoons for the past few days.. pretty cooling weather but when its not raining, the weather can be very heat up.. I've been looking for some resin figurines recently, figurines of Five Star Story. After much lookup, I found out that resin figurines is actually very rare locally.. especially for robots, in fact you can only order from abroad(hk).. And of course the next thing that concern me is the pricing, a sinple robot of a typical mug-size height can cost more then $80.. The figurine cost so much is because its all handpainted..

Just this afternoon, I went down to Sunshine Plaza and I found a figurine of "Bangdoll" of Five Star Stories at one of the shop there.. Its actually the second time going down there to look for the figurines.. The other time I went was Monday, but by the time I got there, all shops there are almost closed.. So no choice I gotta make another trip down..

..And I went to a shop in Yishun for some car decals, but I don't have the photos up here yet..

5days a week

Still feeling as bored as ever.. I still cannot stand 5days work week.. When can I go back to shift..

Just went to change my company parking label this morning.. Zoom, and within hours, I got a call from them and its done.. Well, I can say thats pretty fast, compared to previously I took almost a week to get my label done.. Thats the only great thing I like of the morning departments, fast and efficient service.

Dear isn't working today, but yet not at home with me, she's with her colleagues in Sentosa having fun.. Feel so like taking an MC tomorrow, the opener for 2009.. Should I or should I not??

What a tiring day it is today.. Woke up early at 7am today, not for work but to go fetch dear back from work and off we go to.. Jurong Bird Park!

It has been really ages since my last trip there.. at least a good 15years i think.. This time round, its with my darling and mama and papa.. Its a family outing.. All thanks to the STB promotion of 1st 2009 to some Singapore attractions for free, just simply show them the sms, which cost only 20cents. Each sms is entitled to maximum 4tickets. There you go, 4 x $18[entrance for adults] = $72 saved.. Not a bad deal but just for the super long queue..

I've survive the first round of bombing!

But there's a few more rounds coming, in time soon.. Surviving isn't easy, it doesn't mean that you know your bosses well and you are safe.. No no, definitely not the case, you gotta let your bosses knows you well, of course in a way that you can help him and the company of course. But that can never come easy when you are in a MNC, and when you are just a "small fry" in the company..

How many rounds can I survive through? If the economy isn't going anyway better, I guess this trend will continue through the year. My company losses 480million last quarter, how many more quarter of such losses can any MNC take it.. I have colleagues telling me some analyst predicts my company will be the next "big thing" that goes bankrupt.

I'm having a hard time at work for the past 3days, working on a single machine, and it took me 3days to complete. Its like a "christmas tree" [terms we use on our machine when most good parts are being swap away], many hardwares[good] are being swap with faulty ones, I gotta go to store and change and change. All these changing doubled and even tripled my time.

Work has never been easy, there many more things for me to learn..

Omg, I haven't able to take the scare yet..
And the retrenchment thing is happening, how bad more can the economy gets? As of today, 5th February 2009, I'm officially three year in Seagate.

Tomorrow shall be the 2nd day of D-day, I already saw some "kana" today.. Its such a difficult feeling when some of them are close colleagues you see everyday. Times are really bad now.. Big MNCs also can't sustain the global impact of the economy.

As according to my department manager, our department is affected the minimum.. Its based on credits as per supervisor's view.. Another thing is if I survive the scare this week, I will get my chance to go back to shift after this quarter..

CNY dinner

Just returned home from Lueng's place after having our annual CNY dinner there. All of my brothers are there and some with gf as well, except Wen is missing and our long time missing brother Fei.. I was the latest of them all to arrived as I walk dear to the interchange before making my way there. Paiseh ah, let you waited me so long for dinner..

Steamboat dinner as usual and mahjong session afterthat. Most of them are staying overnight there as they are not working on sunday, but I have ot on sunday so I made a move around 11plus. Not so lucky for the night as I lost around $10 on mahjong. Need to practice my mahjong skill liao, haven't been winning for the past 2 sessions.

Time to get some sleep, ot tml morning at 8.30am.. Good nights.

aftermath of CNY

Long weekend is over, started working today after almost a week of rest for CNY. As usual for the CNY, my family only went house visiting on 初一. Lotsa ang baos collected for both of us.. Its another way of making extra income in such bad times. In fact, we are already cutting down on our spendings, lesser shopping, lesser restaurant dining, I suppose many are doing the same too..

Recession is going on everywhere, everyday's news headlines is about the economy. Will the year of the 金牛 brings a better economy?

I skipped OT today, and went to Jurong Point to exchange for a new Omnia phone.. I'm having a dead pixel on my Omnia phone and got a brand new one to exchange. Btw, its a gift from my dear, and the Omnia phone is won from CityLink lucky draw. Its during the christmas period where we bought our lovely wedding band at Goldheart, CityLink, and entered the lucky draw there.. Consider us lucky, and I have to gave up buying the iphone already.

This is the first time going to Jurong Point after the extension of the building, its a more like a shopping mall as compared to itself before renovation. There's even a 24hours NTUC over there..

2 more days to the Golden Ox Year, I get to off till 初四, next thursday then start work.

Normal life

Boring day, its wednesday, 2 more days to weekends.. Weekends are really important to normal working shift(mon-fri office hours), 5 days is so hard to pass.. When can I go back to shift? Maybe I'm too used to shift work, especially working night shift, because for the past 3years, I've been working in night shift. Now, put me to normal shift, makes me so hard to adapt, especially when its from night to day. It should be sleeping time for me from 8.30am - 6pm, thou i don't really sleep so early.. but its a really big difference..

Suddenly I have the urge to go further studies, I'm not sure why myself, but it seems like my normal shift colleagues are influencing me abit, as most of them are taking part-time studies..

I've been at "Normal shift" for one week already.. Haizz, tomorrow gotta wake up early and go work again.. I'm still not getting use to working 5days a week, cause I've been through almost 3years of "Night shift". One thing good is that I'm gonna have my supervisor changed, thats one great thing, cause I simply can't stand him anymore..

Last night was crazy, we went crazy at "Double O".. Its a guys nights out, too bad, lueng can't join us.. but the rest all came.. Rui, Lex, Henry, Lun, Evan, CY[late], and me.. A round of 4 tequila shots at a go, then is the killer beer.. a few tequila pop, then beer again.. Plus a few jugs of vodka mixers inbetween.. Almost done, one down, two down, haha, we all went back around 3am..

I was so pissed off the whole week, damn pissed with someone that is so inconsiderate and lazy for how I feel of HIM.. I cannot imagine how you manage your lifestyle and how you manage to be still around in the environment.

This is not the first time similar things happened, if you have an idea to bring up, can't you jolly well ask for the opinion of everyone affected by your inconsiderate decision making, or well at least make a call or call for a meeting session. You can't see yourself getting wrong, but simply to those around you, I cannot see friends around you if you are not of good use to them. You are just creating an environment of lesser friends among you.. I do hope to see something of the same kind happening on you..

Bad times

Time is really bad these days.. With the bad economy, you can't possibly find a way not to struggle. Getting jobless during this period of time would be the worst possible time. Companies around are trying to cut cost, cut this, cut that, in order to survive.

Say for my case, my department is cutting OT throughout, 0% OT support. Then some will be ask to go normal shift, and they even planning a night normal shift, working 11pm to 7am. Everything will be implemented on 5th Jan, unless some miracle happens to the economy. So now I'm working only 15 days a month without OT, juz like the days I just entered the company, zero OT for 3 months that time..

Just got home after close to 4 hours of flight from Siem Reap to Singapore via Phnom Penh. Touch down at Changi Airport around 12 noon. Took a cab back as everyone is too tired from the flight.

Just back from breakfast with a bunch of colleagues, 秋莲版面 at Admiralty food court. Its a simple breakfast gathering, and its nice to see 12 turn out. Cheers!

No plans for today, except movies tonight. Gonna catch 钱不够用2 with my family. Daddy, Mummy, Sister and Me. I can say this is the FIRST time ever we, as a family went for a movie together. It may surprise some, but its very true. Few months back I bought tickets for my parents, that is their first time ever watching a movie in a cinema. This time round, we'll go as a family.

Activities for tomorrow is planned as well. It'll be a trip to JB for makan, KTV, shopping, etc activities with a bunch of colleagues. But to some disappointment, some couldn't make it as well. Only to hope they will be able to make it the next time round.

Super HOT day:- Weather has been very dry and warm this few days. Even my fan isn't powerful enough to stop the sweat from coming off me. This sort of weather really affects my sleep, can you imagine sweating while in bed, arggh, irritating feeling.

I MC'ed on thurs, partly to rest, partly cause I'm off on friday and saturday, and I can stretch my off to 3 days. 爽！

I've been slacking for the past 2 days without much things done, except planning for my Cambodia trip. Counting down on the days I'm leaving for Siem Reap, "19 days".

The past one week had been a busy one. Practically what I missed most is SLEEP I guess..

And the best thing for this week is......
I've booked my trip to Siem Reap[Angkor Wat], Cambodia.
It in late August, 21-26th. Gotta make good plannings for this trip.

Its basically raining everyday for the past week. This sort of weather will only make the doctor rich. My dad is sick, down on fever and flu for the past 2 days. Blame it on the weather, after some medication, he seems better, hope daddy will get well soon.

hactic day off

Its 4.30am and I'm still not yet in dreamland. Its my off day, but I'm packed with too many activities. Morning after work, I went for the usual badminton session with my colleagues till 11am. Rushed home afterthat to wash up and manage to get to sleep at around 12.30pm. 2 hours of sleep and I'm awake at 2.30pm as I've to meetup my colleagues for movies. We watched Batman, The Dark Knight. Its a long 2.5 hours of action. I manage to keep myself awake throughout the movie, I'm amazed too. From my view, I feel Joker outshine Batman in the movie. For the gadgets and actions, 4 out of 5 stars.

Dinner at the newly opened Botak Jones @ Yishun with my buddies after the movie. Ordered Fish'n'Chips for myself. Food at Botak Jones was as usual great. After the dinner, we scroll our way to SAFRA @ Yishun, as we wanted to go bowling. But sadly, as we reached there, we were told that we would not be able to get a lane until earliest 2am. And the time is only 9.30pm when we were there. We changed our plans and headed to Party World instead to try our luck. And yes, we spend the following 4 hours singing non-stop in the room. Total cost 153.55$ for 7 of us.

Our night ended at around 1.45am. Took a cab back home and 'nua' till now.
Time to sleep.. Oyasuminasai!!

BAD(minton) day

This morning after work, I went for the usual twice a week badminton session with my colleagues. Its at Woodlands Sports Complex from 8am to 11am, every tuesday and friday. Something bad happened today.

First it was 2 colleagues of mine had a traffic accident when they were heading to work last evening, thankfully their injuries weren't very serious. Get well soon my friends.

Then it was during the badminton session, that I broke one of my favourite racket after smashing a shot. Yes, the racket is broken, and its beyond any hopes of recovering. This racket is given to me by my late cousin, John. Though our age gap is 20 years apart, he is a very nice big brother to me. I was being looked after since I am a month old by his mum till 4 or 5 years old, as both my parents are working and did not have time to fully take care of me. He passed away in year 2002 from cancer. He is deeply missed.

travel disappointments

Weather these days are so unpredictable, sunny afternoon turns into a heavy downpour in just a moment. The only good thing is, it brings about a better sleeping condition.

I've been planning many outings and overseas trips recently, but few barely works out. Either due to under-strength or the price is too high. Actually a few of us buddies are planning to go Sister's Island last weekend, but not much people are able to make it and the ferry charter fees are too expensive considering the headcount we have. 350$ for 6 person. Another disappointment is the August trip to Taiwan, the amazing hike in air ticketing price forbid us from going. Its close to 700$ just for the air ticket, simply out of our plans. Next is a trip to Cambodia in late August with a few of my colleagues. This is my fault for I overlooked the dates to book the air ticket. Return air ticket is only 148$ with all the tax included, cheap right? But I missed the date already, now the air ticket is close to 210$ instead.

Maybe that the difficult part considering the last minute planning for trips. But again, in early November, I may be having a trip to Sabah, Kota Kinabaru and Brunei. Still in the mist of plannings, hopefully this goes well.

Just caught a glims of Miss Universe 2008, live from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The city is beautiful, with the culture and amazing natural landscape. Hmmm, it seems like a nice place to go too, but I need to find interested personnel first. Btw, Miss Venezuela won. I really need a trip out of SG, in August and in September.. Really need a break from work..

its been awhile

Its been awhile since my last post. Although I have loads of things to enter in, but I'm simply trying to get back to my original self. I do not know where to start, nor do I know where have I stopped.

I just made a new pair of spectacle few days back. I choosed a plain black frame, those army type, but with blue tined lens. Frame + lens = CHEAP [ask me price and location if you areinterested]. Lately, I've watched many shows online. Mostly dramas, I especially recommend "Forensic Heroes 2", its a very nice 30-episode HK drama.

A few colleagues resigned. Some went back home, back to their homeland, where they have left 4 years ago to work abroad, some have their reasons and commitments. Ally, for her health reason, night shift isn't her cup of tea. Weiwei, went back home to get married, really happy for her. DeJuan, went back to settle down as well, after 4 years away from her country. They have been great colleagues, we chat, had gatherings and celebrations together. Feeling happy for them as they can finally return back to their hometown, but yet a little sad as they are gone.. More and more close colleagues are leaving the company, maybe one fine day would be my turn, who knows..

Oh ya, they made a promise, a gathering promise for all, a gathering 5 years from now. A gathering at Shanghai, China in year 2013. It would be nice seeing the whole lot again after 5 years, it will be amazing definitely

My dad is David, he's 55 today. Although he is aging day by day, but one can hardly tell, cause he's still quite active most of the time.

Everytime when I needed some help, he never finds it troublesome to do it for me. But its not so straightforward everytime. Sometimes he'll ask me to do it myself, but in the end when nothing is done, he will silently get the job done. You can easily feel his love and care.

But the only thing I hate about dad is his smoking habit. I DISLIKE DADDY WHEN SMOKING. Its kinda irritating when you see him smoke at home. I really wish him to quit smoking.

All but all, he's still my daddy..

I just sold my Sony Playstation 2 Set & PSP Set to a forum guy weiliang [Barney88]. A nice guy came all the way to my place to collect the sets and test on the spot as well.

As for the PSP, I played it almost everyday at work, of course its during my break-time. Curious why I'm selling right? Actually, I wanted to get the Deep Red PSP set. The red is really nice. Irritating insects broke my dreams

I was awaken this early by some irritating insects. ANTS.. Somehow it gotten all over my bed and bitting me. I open my eyes and saw 2-3 ants, so I just kill and ignore them. But then, more came.. I started tracking them down and start spraying on them. Spray and spray.. There goes my sunday morning sleep.

Yesterday morning after work, my company was having a 3-on-3 basketball competition at the woodlands sports hall. We were given the same colored jersey as last year, green.. Results for us is about the same as well, losing all 3 games. We had some close fights, but we didn't play well as we lack practicing as a team, the gel between our players is not there yet. We actually only practice 2 times before the game. More practice will definitely help.

We didn't waited for the whole competition to end cause we were 'out already. So we left the sports hall after the lunch break. Headed home to wash up and to dreamland. I woke up around midnight, watched a few soccer games before heading to bed again. Arsenal with 10 men fought back from 2-0 down to win 3-2, amazing.. Even a better result is Manchester United routed Aston Villa 4-0 at home.

Here comes my 3days off

Today, tomorrow and thursday is my 3 days off from work. It has been quite sometime since I last off for so long, cause most of the time, 3 rest days, I'll take 2 days OT. That sums up why am I so busy most of the time.

Full rest for today, before party tml. This morning, after work, had a basketball game with my colleagues. We organized this game to practice for the upcoming basketball 3-on-3 on the 29th March 2008. Its a company event.

Its great to get some sweat after work, but the bad is that, I twisted my ankle AGAIN. Its not the first or second time though, I've lost count on it already. Its the same right ankle, but I could feel its not that serious, at least for now. :(

Its been few months since I last wrote anything here. Many things comes and goes around me. Changes happened, though not alot..

One of the saddest things would be, I lost a great friend/colleague to cancer. She is Ms Kay Thwe Phone. I just attended her funeral at Mandai Crematorium this evening. Its a sad day. Please bless Ms Phone..

Last night, I went out for supper with a friend, and along the way, I saw an accident somewhere near Sembawang MRT Station. It seems to be fatal, but I didn't see much as I was driving. I saw there is at least 5 police vehicles, a fire engine, an ambulance.

Life comes and goes, you don't know when is gonna be the end of days. Even when its a peaceful night, something unexpected happened.

Ahhhh... I feel like going overseas, for holidays.. I really need some breakaway from work..

My PC just gave me some trouble last week because my laziness to format the system ever since I said I wanted to format it 2 years ago. Anyway its formatted, and as usual some of my stuff isn't backup. This comp is now officially for my family usage as I shifted the comp from my room to the study room.

I sold the old system[Pentium 3] which use to be at the study room. And my new system is still in half done condition. Hopefully, I can get it done before 2007 ends..

SITEX - Here it comes again, its another Gadget Fair. At Expo this time, kinda far-away land from my place. But I'm still going later in the afternoon. Looking to get a camera and some pocket storage for my colleagues. And maybe look around for any interesting stuff.

Politics politics!! Why are the company so political? So many management changes here and there. Its affecting my working morale alot..

I dislike it so much, reason being its affecting me alot. Although the changes is still within the same department, but changing your job scope totally makes a big different. Initially I'm 'running line' being a line maintenance since I started joining Seagate. Job scope is to deal with simple automation failures, product conversion, practically ensuring the line is running fine.

Few months back in june, I'm transfered to the H.S.A. side as a H.S.A. maintenance. Job scope is to cope with the dynamic testers, ensuring fixtures, optoflex and all the different tests working fine.

Then now, there is a manpower switching again. Cutting the usual H.S.A. headcount of 5 maintenance to 3.. Again, I'm the one being transfered out.. This time is to the Engineering side. Job scope is fully to fixing those testers that fail to run.

But during my last working day[wed], just before work ends, a colleague told me the ot schedule had some changes. I'm being place under the line maintenance instead of engineering side.. My first reaction is 'No way am I going back to line'.. This really bothers me, it affected my day throughout.

Until this morning, I message my supervisor asking him on the transfer. He ensure me that I'm still in engineering and will check it out when back at work tonight.. I took his words and I had a much easier day after that. Lets hope there's no major changes to my transfer.

After all, I actually prefers staying at H.S.A., but I'm not given any chances of staying since I'm the most junior maintenance of the 5 in my team..

After so many days, I think I hardly have time to write anything in here. But I'll still try to write something as and when I can.

Today's my off day, didn't sleep after work, but went straight out to Chinatown at around 10plus am, together with gf and her cousin. 1st stop is to the optician to do a new pair of glasses for myself. Then we shop here and there, walk around Chinatown and ended at McDonald's to pass time.

Actually our main motive is to go for the buffet at Yum Cha Restaurant. Buffet is from 3-6pm.. $16.80 per pax. Thats why we are wasting time. Haha..

At 2.30pm, we started walking to the Restaurant. Eat & eat, the dim-sum is good[I got pix, but not all the dishes & I haven't upload.] I especially like the desert, the mango pudding, lemon-jelly, red bead paste.. Yummy, but its hard to save much of your stomach slots for deserts, you know..

We left around 4plus, then walk slowly to the MRT station and headed home. We fell asleep in the train..

Great news!! Manchester United clock another win in the champions league campaign. 1-0 win over AS Roma. I didn't manage to keep myself awake to catch the match last night.

Off for the past 2 days.. MC on monday and off-day for tuesday. 2 days OT, 2 days work till another off-day. I practically sleep my way through monday, probably due to last week's in camp training.

Tuesday was fun, went out to Orchard to shop around with gf, its been quite sometime since we last go for shopping. Walked around Far East, then Cine-Leisure. We went for the movie, "Balls of Fury", quite a funny show, with sexy Miss Maggie Q in it.

After the show, we shopped around Heeren before heading back home. We bought some finger food as we bypass the pasar malam at woodlands.. Great day, but tiring too..

My room is in a mess right now, wondering how long can I take it anymore before i start to clear up the mess..

Army daze 5 & 6

Day 5 was okay, booked in at 8am and its raining damn heavily. When I reached the carpark, I got a shock cause I'm the 10th-11th car in the carpark, which supposed to be almost filled up at such a late time. [I arrived at 8.15am.] The rain could be the cause for the delay.

Washing of stores and returning is all we did in the morning. Lunch at "Ah Ho", a canteen by the bay in my camp. Food is seriously not bad, best thing is the price is okay. MOB briefing in the afternoon till early evening, then book out. Its one of our earliest book out day of the whole ICT.

Today's Day 6, also the last day for the ICT, there's a Battalion run in the morning and a cohesion lunch buffet before we we say good bye to this training session. Next ICT might be in June'08..

Dinner with gf, mum & sis at Sakae Sushi just now. Good food, yummy sashimi.. I'm going back to work tml already, no rest day cause I gotta maximize my OT. I look so tan, in fact should be burned rather than tan. ICT burned me.. SAD -.-

Day 3 is a Super Duper Tiring Day..
3 x Constructions and 3 x De-launching[dismantling].. 2 in the day and 1 at nite..
Its a construction of a raft, which can ferry vehicles across a water gap. Pure hard work, and it really eats up your strength..

All this is enough to shack out anyone, especially when this is the 1st time doing after at least a good 1.5 year break for anyone of the reservist personnel.

Everything ending at about 10pm.. I'm too tired to talk about it. Just one word. It "SUCKS" big time..

Today [Day 4] was much much better as compared to ytd. Given a later book-in timing at 9.30am as we ended everything the day before at 11 plus. Cleaning and returning of stores in the morning, and IPPT in the afternoon. Our IPPT slot was dragged till early evening due to the large party taking IPPT for the same session. In-camp IPPT indeed is much slack as compared to outside, as its still using the traditional static stations and not those electronic type. Considering that as a plus point, but the 2.4km run is the same anywhere. Too shack from the constructions and all the day before, leaving my arms bruises all over and weak. I only manage 5 pull-ups. All over, a bad day. Failed..

Happy day, Manchester United 2-0 victory over Chelsea.. Its their 4th successive league win. Ain't that something to cheer about.. Woo-hoo!! United move to 2nd spot on the league table standing.

Reservist day 2 is boring as usual, components training day, under the super blazing sun.. I thought the rain that started in the early morning is gonna last thru the afternoon, but haizz, the rain just stopped pouring at around 10am. Training isn't that scary , its just some refresher course for us.. Even so, its still boring..

Back to the army

Friday was the 1st day at reservist. Its damn boring.. I'm doing the same old shit again, just like my days in NS. Moreover, I'm totally separated from my previous platoon mates. Only a hand-full of us are still posted to the same unit. The first thing I notice was, my whole platoon consist of 3/4 specialist and only 1/4 are man[corporals & lance corporal]. This is a very huge error on SAF's side I guess, cause its suppose to be average 4-5 man to a specialist. It seems to be in the opposite direction now.

But hack care that, at least the responsibility is reduced to the minimum. And one more thing, I used to think that reservist of 2 weeks or more is considered high-key, but its only friday that I know that any reservist more than 7 days is considered high-key.

Weekends are basically off-days as long as there's no pre-planned matters. Go 1 day, off 2 days, going back on monday morning to kick-off my reservist trainings.. 5 more days to go.

Finally its my off day.. 2 off days and back to camp for reservist, my 1st ICT. Back to the boring camp that I stayed for almost 2 years there. After checking with some of my man from my NS platoon, sad to find out that we are in separate units already. Only left with a few fellow commanders in my platoons. I don't really know what happened, as I remembered a few letters from Mindef saying lots of this and that.. and you will still be with ur previous platoon for all ur upcoming ICTs and stuff..

Ahhh.. All the COCKUPS as usual..

Today was tiring, right after work, gf[xi] & I went home, rested awhile and we headed out again. We had a hairdo appointment at 1pm. Xi wanted to do her reborn since a year ago, drag drag n drag till today. I see a happy girl after that.. For me, I shorten my hair and dyed it dark brown[which is so close to blank that you could hardly notice] as I'm going back for reservist. There goes my light brown hair. Sad.

We headed down to Sim Lim Square afterthat to get some of my computer parts and my PSP charger which is spoiled months ago, and I'm surviving thru using my colleagues' charger at work. Tkx alot. We had dinner at the Hawker Centre at Bugis.. and headed home afterthat.

Xi & I dozed off immediately when we seated down on the train.. All the way till we reached Woodlands.

Mooncake buying

I'm so fresh today, cos I slept thru last night with the MC I took. Its my 8th MC for the year. I do really need some rest after so much of work.

Gf says she's craving for KFC since 2 days back.. And she said she wanted to go JB for KFC, haha.. And her reason, the chicken there is much much more fresher than SG's. Very true indeed, looking at the left over chicken bones, u'll see its almost totally black in SG's KFC, and its still pretty white for JB's KFC..

So together with my colleagues heng and wong, 4 of us went to JB.. KFC for our lunch of course.. The chicken there is great, but the coleslaw really cannot make it.. The taste sucks. After the meal, we walked around City Square, shopping for mooncakes. Mooncakes there is really much cheaper compared to SG. Say for a double yolk white lotus paste, it only cost around RM12, which is slightly more than S$5[current conversion rate] here. So its pretty worth it if JB isn't very far from you..

Shopped around for another hour or so and we headed back to SG at around 2.30pm. It was still so early thou, but I still got work tonight, so I better get some rest before rushing to work tonight.

Summary

Last Wednesday was at Mambo Jambo, Zouk with my colleagues, sam, lana, may, goh, alvin, wilson, andrew & charles [gf no go cos got OT]. It was quite fun that night even thou my last visit to Zouk was like in dec'05.. No tables for us even thou we opened a bottle of Chivas that day, therefore we stand and dance thru the night. Some supper after clubbing ended, then home sweet home afterthat. Something I like about clubbing nowadays is the smoke-free environment inside the club, I still can smell the perfume on me when I got home.

Work, work and more work.. all the way till monday[off 1 day]..

Tuesday, Chinese lunch buffet at Crown Palace Restaurant 凰珍阁酒家, its somewhere near Yishun Interchange. Food was okay, considering the price. Gf & I headed home thereafter as we still got work tonight.

Boring boring day.. its my off day but yet only lay around doing nothing, except squeezing some orange juice in the morning and warming my bed [sleeping] the whole afternoon..

I woke up in the evening to send dear to work, then came home and watched TV thereafter. I checked the schedule Man Utd live match is ard 0020hrs, so I went to take a short nap. And when I opened my eyes, I saw the clock at 0230hrs. Okay, I miss the match yet again. Then I check the results online, great news.. Manchester United 1-0 Sunderland. Luis Saha with the header goal. But I saw another trashing result, Liverpool hammered Derby 6-0..

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer retires

Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is retiring himself from professional soccer yesterday, 28th August 2007 after admitting defeat in his long-running battle with knee injuries.

After 11 years and 366 appearances for Man Utd, the 34-year-old has had to finally call it a day due to an ongoing knee injury. Solskjaer joined United for a bargain 1.5 million pounds from Norwegian side Molde.

However, the man famously nicknamed 'the baby-faced assassin', will remain at United in a coaching capacity and will continue to represent the club as an official ambassador.

Although it is a sad day for Solskjaer, he appreciates he has had a fantastic career, scoring 126 goals overall.

Solskjaer has always been my all-time favourite player in soccerand definitely he is one of Old Trafford all-time greats. Cheers xoxo

Movies in a week

Lately, I've caught a few movies.. Movies that I didn't intend to watch initially. Friends who wanted to watch, so I simply follow the majority.. Afterall, its not too bad as it seems. Went to watch 2 movies after work on 2 separate days. The movie 881 and Jay's Secret. 881 is very local, story was okay, but I still fallen asleep in the theater as I was too tired after work. As for Secret, story line was good enough to capture my attention throughout the entire show.

The next movie on my list will definitely be Naraka 19: The 19th Gate of Hell which will release on thursday, 06 Sep 2007..

My best pal Belinda is getting married today. Sounds like a movie title, haha, but no, its true.

Let me do a introduction. This lovely lady is a nice chatty PAL.. She's my colleague 8 years back[year 2000] while I was working part-time as Customer Service Officer at Singtel Call Centre after my 'O' levels, before I entered poly. Its a very short, close to 5 months job. She didn't caught much of my attention at first, cause of her nerdy look, but she turns out to be a pretty young lady in the making. But after sometime, we got to know each other better, and we often go for meal-time together.

Time at Singtel was short, but it has been a nice time working with her, though she can be quite fiercely at times. But she's still the usual thoughtful + beauty combination lady in my mind.

Soon all of us left and carry on with our studies. I can't remember we had any gathering after we left for studies. But I keep still in contact with some of them. Of the lot, Belinda is the only one I managed to keep in touch with till now. Most of them either changed their mobile or I've lost their contacts.

We did have a few meetups during my army times. As I started working now, I've yet find a nice time to make a gathering.

Back to work

Seems like I've rested alot from worl and tml I'm returning back to my nite shift team. Ever since last last friday[8th] is my last day at nite shift b4 going for my one week training. 9th-10th on off, 11th-12th on MC, 13th-15th on training[8.30-6], 16th-18th on off, and tml 19th back to work.

One more thing, I'm damn hot and furious about DELL. I've purchased a 22" Lcd monitor from them during the 1st day of the PC Show[31st may - 3rd june].

And till now, I've haven't received my monitor yet. I sent 2 emails to DELL and none repiled. I've gave up on emailing them again, I rang them this afternoon. I waited close to 10mins before a operator answered. The operator checked my orders and told me "DELL is facing a shortage in parts". This angered me more. When I asked how come I did not even received a callup regards to the delay in the delivery of the monitor. She replied by saying, theres too many customers to call up which comes up to the delay of calling me up.. WTF is tat excuse.. I guess I'm gonna send in a official complaint to DELL regards to this matter..

another day at home

I've been staying at home for the past 3days. I'm on MC today.. my body's very weak, temperature goes up & down like the stocks market. I've been sleeping most of the time while at home, making me very awake at nite.

I was told by the doctor tat if my fever still persist tml, I might need to go through a blood test, as a suspect of dengue case. Since my fever have been running for 4-5days already.

Hopefully I can get better by the time I wake up in the morning. God blessed.

I have been down on flu, cough, and abit of fever for the past 3 days.. Till now I'm still pretty restless and muscles-aching.

I've been transfered from my Maint dept to HSA dept wef today. Considering todays my off day, I get to rest. But I'm attached to normal shift[0830-0600hrs] for one whole week for training, before going back my team. I'm still feeling veri weak, maybe MC-ing tml, lets see how things goes.

I'm back from another trip.. Tis time round its a 3D2N at TIOMAN.
Nice place indeed except for the travelling. 3hrs by bus to the jetty and 1.5hrs by ferry to the island[tioman].

Its a bit of revenge or whatsoever.. Mind me to explain. There's a redang trip with my buddies last year tat I missed. Its due to the hard to arrange timing tat I have to missed it. I'm actually quite regretful for not able to go redang after I came back from tis tioman trip. the scenery is beautiful, plus the snorkeling session is breath-taking. Juz imagine; clear water, fishes swimming at ease around you, feeding fishes upclose, beautiful corals..

Sadly, I din see any nimo nor sharks.. Nevertheless, the sun, sand and sea paints a beautiful picture. Beautiful pixars will be up soon..

As the title speaks.. its my off day again. My company is cutting our OT due to production output too high, meaning our productions are way faster then expected. For tat, we are reducing our pace, and due to some higher management cutting cost rules, our OT are depleting.

In the past i seldom get so many off days one shot out[cos got OT ma], but now it seems pretty common to see many having more off days then OT. Guess its time to relax and enjoy life abit. Holidays is the key to the answer.

Recently i juz came back from KL with my colleagues, and soon[in 10days time], i'm heading to Tioman with my colleagues. Plus i've booked my bangkok trip as well in july. So i'm really starting to enjoy myself.. hahahaa..

A statement from the police tat was replied to the victim of the robbery in JB, "its a pretty common case here in JB".. wat the hell does tat means.. omg..

tiring nite; last nite at work has been pretty tiring, besides the not enough sleep due to overdosed of bedtime the day before. And oso, having to work 12hrs with juz a mere 2hrs of rest.

Many plans are on going, many vacation trips. Juz last week, together with my colleagues, we went KL for 3days.

Next on the list would be Tioman in 2weeks time, 15-17th to be exact. Its not a budget trip as i would expect, as the cheapest we've found is close to S$140 for transport plus stay which departs from SG. In fact, we initially thought departing from M'sia would be cheaper instead, surprisingly, its a figure close to RM400 per head.

Bangkok is on our list as well, should be end of June, to 'siam' the school holidays. Predicted date 29th June to 2nd July.. Anyone got lobang to get cheaper deals for bangkok pls let me noe..

I havent been there for close to 2years, I din expect Friday nite at MS is so quiet. And one thing I din expect oso, my alcohol intake level dropped till 3 glasses. Or somehow, the music last nite sucks bigtime.

IKANO, Tampines:- Better known as Ikea, its the second in SG, and why it isnt located in woodlands? Its has been my favourite furniture mall since years ago, but I seldom step in due to the distant location at Alexandra. Now having Ikea at Tampines, its far more convenient as compared to Alexandra's. Its only one bus ride away, 20-30min via bus 168 from Woodlands Regional Interchange. But driving there is still a better choice since the parking there is FREE as well.

Besides Ikea, theres a huge Courts Megastore juz next to it and a Giant Hypermarket opening soon juz across the road. I'm so jealous of Tampines..

Weather was kind to us as we took a bus there. It started raining as we reached the mall and rain cut right before we step out to head home. Shopping at Ikea is amazingly fun, especially when u see loads of stuff that u crave to bring home. The food at the Swedish Food Market is especially wonderful as well, double thumbs up for the meatballs [my all-time fav]. Before leaving we had a quick bite of hotdog at Bistro.

recently, i have been down on luck. no luck in much cases. sucks big time. hate to mention it.. errrr..

im getting quite tired from work tis few days, up till today i've completed 4 of my 6 available OTs for the month. i flew kite on my first OT, which means i have 5 to clear and i've cleared 4 already to date. i was being added another day of OT nex week, most prob cos im the only one with 5OTs and the rest already hit cap of 6OTs.

today supposed to be my working day, till thurs in fact, but im sick again, fake or real, i juz wanna rest. 2 days Medical Leave. 4 straight offs till sat..

i missed out so many meetups with my buddies due to work, lets hope tis 4 days most will be free. Lets meetup ya..

let some pixars do the talking.. another BUSY month is coming to an end. my company's annual Dinner & Dance has juz goneby on sunday. by right i have another DnD to attend which is today. don be mistake, its from the same company, but juz that our company's DnD is divided into 2 days as we are working shift, and our plant is working non-stop. so for tat reason we are having 2 DnD per year.

today's DnD consist of most of my frens cos i used to be from their shift for my 1st 7mths of my stay in seagate; which i got a swap in august to my current team. i've applied leave today, but was non being approved as i tot so, there is a lack of manpower today, as most OT personnel wont be available due to the DnD function. Busy nite tonight.

tats my 3rd since i started work tis year. considering tat as quite low, as compared to some of my colleagues which hits 10+ already tis year [max. 14 per year].

i tot of catching up with some of my frens ytd, but somehow it doesnt turn out well.. nevertheless, i did rested myself well to prepare myself for the upcoming 6 DAYS straight work. i knock out soon after dinner and some tv.

watched DEATHNOTE the movie on screen ytd with my dearest xi at cathay-cwp. kinda rushed for the movie at 2pm cos we are working the nite before and she's going dinner with her colleagues in the evening. din expect the place to be so fully packed. i felt the show is quite nice juz tat its in jap and ur eyes have to kept focusing on the bottom of the screen for the subtitles. the story is similar to what the comic has written cept a little change in the script. the story goes so slowly tat it ended where yagami light and L meet. lets wait for part 2 den..

i've bought the full set of DeathNOTE comics 1-12 at 15% discount, its a promo for the movie, only @ comic connection. not sure till when..

wat a nite, haven't been able to catch abit of LIVE soccer matches since WorldCup ended.. missed the atmosphere especially when watching LIVE matches with a huge crowd. i still remember at Devil's Bar together with David n ShaoJun, France vs Brazil in the knock-out phase of WC2006. when France scored tat single winning goal, woo.. the crowd simply gone mad!! indeed we went crazy too..

life still as usual busy.. time management could be better. i lost all my wkends due to work, sadly tat restricted my chances of meeting up with my buddies.. OT is usually pre-planned, but due to the fact tat i transfered over after the cut-off date for OT, tats why my OT is anyhow planned. tis month should be better as the OTs are all pre-planned by myself.

seoul garden ytd with my gal.. not many variety as usual, juz tat i'm abit crazi of steamboat tis few days. actual plan was steamboat at bugis, but no much headcount so stuck to the nearest choice. we ate quite alot i guess, tats our only meal for the day. "brunchnner" i call it.. wahaha!!

holidays:- so many people around me are speaking of holiday trips, my buddies and colleagues; some have already gone and back, some in planning still, some still in discussion mode. thailand, genting, cameron highland and taiwan are some of the places mentioned. thailand could still be my first choice, crazy shopping in bangkok is wat i've been looking forward to. but due to the "Thai coup" thingy, trips are at a hold back. lets see how things goes..

been quite busy this few weeks, work plus commitment took up most of my time.. lotsa things are still pending to be done in my to-do list but yet to find time to do it.

recently, i bought a 2nd-hand black full tower online. its a bit rust behind thou, gotta spend some time to get it de-rust and mayb do abit of mod to it. lets see how thing goes..

my mum's company com is down again.. not knowing why, but im sure its human fault, alot of viruses in it according to my mum, donoe how to help sia, its not the first time tis happened. hmmm.. gotta check it out tis fri or sat..

i need a life

i'm kinda lost somewhere, quite abit of aimless goals in life right now. stable jobs isnt wat i'm aiming for in the past, thou a stable income is fine with me, but i want MORE.. more of wat i deserved. my current job pays me well or so to say i'm pretty much happy with it right now. no complaints.

furthering my studies is wat i intend to do in the near future, tis tots is still veri much alive but shattering as time goes by. i know the importance of a degree, how different is one with and without tat sheet of paper.

juz ytd, i was at my relative's place cos its my uncle's 3 years death anniversary. as usual chit-chatting session carries on and on, as most of them did not meet up tat often except big occassions like CNY or someone's wedding. my aunt was saying one of my childhood buddy juz gotten married a week ago. time really flies, remember we were playing when i was around the age of 4. its back 20 years. how wonderful memories can be. he's a year senior than me, and my aunt was like asking when's my turn.. actually, tats wat i've been thinking of recently too.. but my plans ain't so soon, most prob in 2 years time..

since world cup is over, life isnt the same, people around isnt talking about soccer anymore. my colleagues were mostly talking about travelling around, holidays here and there, since OT is being cut. why waste the time, having so many off days lying around.

one of my colleague, jie, from another shift asked me, whether i wanna swap shift with him, since his gf is in my shift and mine is in his shift. swapping would benefit both parties, providing the swap is approved. i'm in a dilemma tat i might missed my colleagues from my shift. its not a win-win situation here, tat i muz make a decisive decision.

from the sound of it, its easy to tell i lost on my bets. sadly.. juz luck yeah, but at least tis worldcup isnt as bad as the one 4 years back which i lost totally.

thou betting isnt healthy, but its juz for the fun of it, since worldcup isnt a once a year event. like many were saying, wats the fun watching soccer matches without a little bit of betting involved. it simply bring more fun in the game when theres $$$ involved.

it almost gave me a scared when the score remains 0-0 at 90min playing into the additional time of 3mins..

my dad was by my side watching the live broadcast of Italy vs Australia. i felt a little annoy when my dad said "why can't the yellow[aussie] score", cos my bets are on the Italian, which he din know.. Without tat goal by Francesco Totti in the 93min, i would have lost quite abit today. its a great job, indeed an italian job.

all nite of soccer.. with regards to my recent post, the Czech Republic are out of the World Cup. Another disappointing game last nite with Italy, down to 10 men once again and lost 2-0 again. tats life ya, you win some, you lose some.. everything can't always go the way you want.

other matches played last nite, Ghana recorded their 2nd victory in the WC2006, beating USA 2-1, impressive.. they are thru to the last 16, with Italy at the top of Group E.

Group F:- Japan impressive 1st half performance with Champion Brazil isn't enuff to bring them to the next round. thou Japan's Keiji Tamada opens the scoring by shocking the stadium of crowd, but in the end still lost out to Brazil's outstanding performance. Brazil showing their champion's class by trashing Japan 4-1. Australia in the otherhand managed a lucky draw with Croatia to bring them thru to the last 16 facing Italy in the next round..
